► Fincantieri signs MoU with Pakistan Navy in the field of maritime technology and innovation
21 November 2024 – Fincantieri, one of the world’s leading shipbuilding groups, and the Pakistan Navy, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore future cooperation in the field of training, research and development activities, in addition to possible future projects.
The signing took place between Mauro Manzini, Vice President Sales of the Fincantieri Naval Vessels Division, and Commander Syed Ali Sarfraz of the Pakistan Navy and Director of Pakistan Maritime Science & Technology Park (PMSTP), during the 12th edition of IDEAS, the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar, currently ongoing in Karachi.
The partnership will be based at the PMSTP, where Fincantieri will seek to strengthen its presence within the industrial landscape in Pakistan and its relationship with the Pakistan Navy to support their strategic objectives. Located in Karachi, the PMSTP has been launched to facilitate growth in the maritime sectors including shipbuilding and has been designed to foster innovation and support new projects for the Pakistan Navy
