Meprolight introduces MVO™ optics line to defense market, deliviring mission-critical precision for armed forces
BANGKOK, Thailand – Meprolight, an SK Group company and a global leader in electro-optics for military, law enforcement and commercial use, introduced the Meprolight® Variable Optic (MVO™) family of professional riflescopes for the defense market at Defense & Security Thailand. The MVO™ riflescopes deliver exceptional precision, clarity and rugged reliability across a wide range of tactical and professional shooting scenarios.
The MVO™ family which are already in operational use includes three advanced models: the MVO 1-8×28, designed as a low-power variable optic (LPVO) for dynamic, short-to-mid-range engagement; the MVO 3-18×44, a versatile mid-power scope (MPVO) optimized for tactical or competition application; and the MVO 6-36×56, a high-power solution (HPVO) tailored for long-range and precision shooting at extreme distances. Each scope is designed to MIL-SPEC standards, built around a rugged 34 mm main tube and is fully waterproof and fog-proof, capable of withstanding at least a full submersion for 30 minutes at one meter. Each riflescope is constructed to operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to +70°C and is tested to withstand high-recoil calibers, ensuring performance in the harshest operational environments.
Premium German SCHOTT multi-coated glass delivers over 92% light transmittance, offering exceptional image clarity and contrast in low light, glare and mirage conditions. Each optical system is engineered using advanced simulation and precision lens design, providing consistent eye relief, a forgiving eye box and a wide field of view for enhanced situational awareness.
Features include red and green reticle illumination with eight brightness levels, NVG compatibility and a 12-hour auto shutoff. The smooth magnification ring supports an optional throw lever, and precise windage and elevation adjustments are verified through live-fire testing and collimator calibration.
