Drone Volt was established in 2011 near Villepinte, the site of the 24th Milipol trade show, where it presents the last born of its line of UAVs, the Kobra, a quadcopter that can be used for multiple missions

Developed in partnership with the French Lab through a civil-military collaboration, it operates within a three-pronged structure:

  • Drone production, offering four different models (Hercules 20, Heliplane, Linedrone, and Kobra)
  • The Drone Volt Academy, providing pilot training and implementing business applications
  • Drone Volt Expert, which oversees civil-military operations and services.

The company also has subsidiaries in Canada, the Netherlands, and Belgium to expand its export business and foster cooperation with foreign countries and companies.

At this year’s Milipol, Drone Volt presented its latest drone, the Kobra, weighing 12 kg with a 5 kg payload capacity, allowing for a 30-minute flight time when fully loaded and 55 minutes when empty. It is equipped with a hot-swap battery, facilitating battery changes without shutting down the drone and losing mission data. It also features an NVIDIA nano-computer for its AI, an onboard 4G module, and a multi-payload for several already available accessories:

  • The LIAIR X3H for 3D reconstruction missions
  • High-precision conventional photography and topography
  • Day/night optronic turret
  • Magnetometer for mine clearance

An CBRNe configuration has recently been developed in cooperation with ARDPI Air Security, Kaptrek, and Proengin for the detection of chemical gases and vapors, with real-time transmission via a smartwatch on the ground for troops.

Drone Volt develops French-made drones to maintain technological sovereignty, develops remote piloting skills while fostering technological collaborations with numerous partners.
