► Fincantieri signs two Memoranda of Understanding in Croatia in support of the MRC Corvette program

Fincantieri today announced the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Croatian shipbuilding companies Brodotrogir Cruise d.o.o and Iskra Shipyard LLC as part of the Group’s participation in the naval acquisition program for two Multi Role Corvettes (MRC) promoted by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Croatia.

The signing ceremonies took place at the companies ’ respective premises , in the presence of Mauro Manzini , VP Sales of the Fincantieri Naval Vessels Division , and Mateo Tramontana, CEO of Brodotrogir Cruise d.o.o and Roko Vuletic, President of the Management Board of Iskra Shipyard LLC .

The MoUs aim to combine Fincantieri’s expertise as a leading global shipbuilder with the established capabilities of the Croatian partners, fostering their increased participation in the project. The y are part of Fincantieri’s broader approach to international markets, based on the development of long-term industrial partnerships and on the transfer and consolidation of skills, technologies and know-how at local level. In Croatia, this approach is aime d at strengthening the national shipbuilding and maritime ecosystem through enhanced industrial cooperation and localization opportunities.

The agreements provide a framework for exploring cooperation in the design, engineering and construction of naval vessels in support of Fincantieri’s proposal for the MRC corvette program. Through the involvement of Croatian industrial partners across key activities of the value chain, the initiative aims to foster the development of local capabilities, increase national industrial participation and generate long-term value for Croatia.

The initiative is aligned with the ongoing dialogue between Italy and Croatia in the defense sector and reflects the Group’s commitment to contributing to a strengthened industrial and technological cooperation framework between the two countries.
