ASELSAN’s MURAD 100-A AESA Fire Control Radar Completes First Flight on Bayraktar KIZILELMA
ASELSAN’s MURAD 100-A AESA Fire Control Radar successfully completed its first flight on the Bayraktar KIZILELMA. Featuring an AESA architecture, it provides agile electronic beam steering, multi-target detection and tracking, and both air-to-air and air-to-ground engagement capabilities.
Combining these engagement capabilities with beyond-visual-range missile guidance, MURAD 100-A is a critical system for modern aerial combat, enhancing the effectiveness of both manned and unmanned aircraft. Its integration with the Bayraktar AKINCI was completed in 2024, with the first flight on AKINCI in February 2025, followed by multiple test flights validating its radar functions.
With integration on KIZILELMA now complete, the radar demonstrates game-changing capabilities, enabling simultaneous multi-target detection, tracking, and missile guidance. The successful first flight confirms its adaptability to different aerial platforms and readiness for operational deployment.
Designed for modern aerial warfare, MURAD 100-A combines wide frequency coverage, distinguished detection performance, GaN-based power amplification, digital beam forming at sub-array level, and time-interleaved operation, ensuring precise and reliable performance in both air-to-air and air-to-ground scenarios.
