The Korkut 100/25 SB, developed by Aselsan, is a new Turkish anti-drone system showcased for the first time outside Turkey at the DSEI 2025 exhibition in London. This international presentation marks an important milestone for the Turkish defence industry, highlighting its ambition to offer a new-generation air defence solution adapted to emerging threats

The Korkut system is designed to neutralise mini and micro drones using its programmable ATOM 25 mm airburst ammunition. It illustrates Turkey’s national response to the rapidly evolving low-altitude air threat, particularly in asymmetric combat zones.

The system demonstrator is mounted on an Ejder Yalçın 4×4 armoured vehicle, offering mobility and adaptability on all types of terrain. It’s main armament is the 25 mm automatic cannon capable of firing ATOM programmable airburst ammunition, enabling the precise neutralisation of UAVs with low radar cross section. Effective range is over 1,000 metres against mini-drone targets, ensuring the protection of infrastructure and units before incoming drones reach critical proximity. The stabilised sighting system includes an electro-optical sensor, high-resolution day/night cameras, laser rangefinder; a fully computerised fire control suite providing automatic target acquisition and tracking thanks.

Secondary armament is 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun for close-range defence against light ground or air threats. It’s modularity allows it to be integrated into other vehicles; the platform is compatible with various external sensors, and is fully remote-operable. It features different firing modes, automatic ballistic calculation, autonomous, and algorithmic response to the dynamic position of targets, automation reducing the cognitive load for the operator.

The Korkut 100/25 SB can be integrates into a multi-layered defence architecture, including both soft-kill and hard-kill systems, to fill the grey area of short-range drone threats. The system is ideal for protecting convoys, forward bases, border infrastructure, and to be employed in urban operations. It offers logistic simplicity thanks to domestically designed ammunition and sensors, which facilitate maintenance, as well as plug-and-play capability for immediate deployment.

It also has the capacity to respond to swarm attacks thanks to ammunition programming that allows it to deal with saturation attacks or highly mobile targets, inspired by lessons learned from recent theatres of operation.

The Korkut 100/25 SB symbolises Turkey’s ambition to strengthen its technological autonomy and its ability to effectively counter emerging threats, while offering a competitive product that is likely to appeal to international markets facing the rapid proliferation of drones in conflict zones.
