Fincantieri Underwater Hub

During the Q1 2025 financial results conference call, Fincantieri CEO Pierroberto Folgiero announced the establishment of a dedicated Underwater Hub with the scope of coordinating and controlling the related civil, military and dual-use activities in the company with the aim to become a leading player in that segment.

During the more recent “Underwater Day”, the head of the company presented the long-term strategic vision for its development, highlighting the current worldwide segment market and how Fincantieri will gain an important share thanks to the recent acquisition of companies such as WASS and Remazel, and the growth of internal capabilities through the new generation underwater command and control system, alongside manned and unmanned platforms development.

This in addition to cooperation agreements and investments with specialized companies such as Graal Tech, Saipem, Cabi Cattaneo, Sparkle and WSense, which will allow Fincantieri to further advance and quickly gain ground in a business segment which is constantly growing.
