Germany First Aid in New Emergency Stations

Koblenz, 20 December 2024 – In order to ensure the best possible first aid for wounded soldiers in an emergency, the Bundeswehr Procurement Office yesterday commissioned the manufacture and delivery of up to 120 rescue stations.

The contract signed provides for the procurement of up to 86 rescue stations in the “ballistically protected” variant and up to 34 unprotected rescue stations. The highly mobile rescue station provides for the first emergency surgical, urgent surgical and initial internal medical care. In order to be able to follow the fighting troops during operations, the system is designed from the outset so that both the personnel and the entire equipment can be transported, set up or dismantled and operated within the shortest possible time with the least possible transport effort – regardless of the location and duration of the operation.

Ten protected and six unprotected rescue stations have already been ordered as replacements for existing systems. The two versions of the rescue station differ in the protection of the emergency surgery workplace. To supply the system with electricity and heating/cooling, air conditioning units are integrated in each container and a power generator is integrated in the emergency surgery container. In addition to the material equipment, the commissioned service also includes the associated instruction on the medical devices and training on the overall system.

Delivery of the first units is planned in the short term as early as December 2025.
