LANDEURO 2025 – Moog’s Mission Platform Redefines Mobile Combat Capability
Moog’s Flexible Mission Platform (FMP) is a versatile solution designed to be “missile, mission and platform agnostic.” This means that it allows the user to install and launch the missile(s) of their choice from the vehicle, ship, or platform of their choice (for example, a land vehicle, trailer, container, or boat). Its main objective is to offer great flexibility for a variety of missions: anti-armour, air defence, anti-drone (C-UAS), etc. Moog showcased its Flexible Mission Platform (FMP) at LANDEURO 2025 in Wiesbaden, Germany, where the system was featured prominently at their booth.
The FMP is not limited to a specific missile. It can be configured to fire several types of missiles, depending on mission requirements. Missiles integrated for demonstrations or during recent events include anti-tank missiles (e.g. Javelin), C-UAS missiles such as the Coyote (counter-drones), precision-guided munitions and optical or infrared-guided missiles. The exact choice of missile depends on the customer and the mission to be carried out.
The FMP has a mass of 350 kg and a 28 Vdc power supply (MIL-STD-1275D compliant). Continuous 360° horizontal rotation is optional, elevation ranging from -10° to + 30°; angular speed is 1 rad/s with an angular acceleration of 1.7 rad/s2, while elevation speed is 0.5 rad/s. It has a height of around 850 mm and a diameter of approximately 800 mm. The FMP can be provided with stabilisation to allow firing in movement. It features a configurable user interface, a mechanism for fast and safe missile reloading, and a centralised management of stores weapons systems (SMS). Moog’s proven military motion control technology ensures maximum reliability. It can be integrated with weapons management systems and target acquisition options.
Moog’s Flexible Mission Platform allows transforming any carrier into a mission-critical weapon platform, carrying the missile(s) of the user’s choice, while ensuring rapid integration, modularity and proven performance.
