Nexter Robotics awarded High Research Secured – Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) Sys contract

Satory – May 24, 2012 – Nexter, a KNDS group company, leading European land defence systems manufacturer, today announced that it has officially been selected by the Canadian government to supply the Canadian Army with 88 multi-purpose robots.

Nexter Robotics sets foot on North American soil

Nexter Systems, as prime contractor, will provide overall HRS-ROV program and configuration management for the delivery of 79 NERVA®-LG and 9 NERVA®-XX robots through its subsidiary Nexter Robotics. The team includes Nexter Robotics and ECA Robotics for the supply of the robots, and Deltic Group (Oakville, ON) for the In-Support (ISS). The HRS-ROV contract has a value of C$6 million CAD GSTE (4 million EUR). “We are honoured that the Department of National Defense and Public Services Procurement Canada found our team and robots best suited to the Canadian needs for this program” said Nexter Robotics Deputy General Manager Joël Morillon.
