PBS GROUP and Airlogix partner to launch jet engine production in Ukraine

Farnborough, 21 July 2026 – PBS GROUP is strengthening its position in Ukraine and in European defense capability. At the Farnborough International Airshow in England, the company signed a partnership with Ukrainian drone manufacturer Airlogix. PBS jet engines will now be produced under license directly in Ukraine. The exchange of know-how and transfer of manufacturing will help strengthen the defense capabilities of both countries. In terms of the new partnership there is also an intension of both companies to produce drones under the Ukrainian license in the Czech Republic.

“We’re strengthening our role in supplying engines to Ukraine. Licensing production of our jet engines directly in the country that is currently setting the pace in unmanned systems is a strategic move for us. It brings production closer to the customer and to real-world deployment. At the same time, we would like to bring production of drones to the Czech Republic. This partnership strengthens the Czech defense industry and confirms PBS’s position as a leading European manufacturer of engines for unmanned aerial systems,” said Petr Kádner, CEO of PBS GROUP.

The signed memorandum of understanding covers two strategic areas: licensed or joint production of PBS jet engines directly in Ukraine, and production of Airlogix drones with PBS engines in the Czech Republic, initially to serve the Ukrainian market. Both companies will now begin work on specific projects.

The partnership with Airlogix is part of PBS GROUP’s long-term strategy to advance its own development and production of jet engines, which rank among the best in the world in their category, and marks a significant milestone in deepening Czech-Ukrainian industrial cooperation in the defense sector.

“PBS jet engines currently power unmanned systems around the world, and demand for them is growing sharply. Our partnership with Airlogix allows us to bring production closer to where the need is greatest right now, while also might bring production of proven combat-tested systems to the Czech Republic. It’s a model of cooperation that strengthens both Europe’s defense capability and the standing of Czech industry,” said Stanislav Lisner, Chief Global Officer of PBS GROUP.

Airlogix is a Ukrainian technology company specializing in the development and production of unmanned systems for both defense and civilian applications. Like PBS GROUP’s engines, its systems have been proven in real combat deployment. At this year’s Munich Security Conference, for example, the company announced a joint venture with a German company to produce autonomous strike systems for Ukraine and NATO allies. The partnership with PBS GROUP further expands the connection between Ukrainian combat experience and the industrial capacity of NATO member countries.
