Quantum Imaging Announces Award of High-Definition SWIR Camera Order from Raytheon, Valued at $13.5M

25  March 2020- Quantum Imaging, a leader in the development of a range of high-performance camera solutions from x-ray to SWIR imaging, announces the award of a high-definition Short Wave Infrared (SWIR) camera order from Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems, valued at $13.5 million.

The new SWIR camera implementing a 1280×1024, 10μm imager format with on-chip image processing, delivers a critical new capability to many tactical imaging applications. Quantum Imaging’s camera is based on an innovative sensor designed and manufactured by SemiConductor Devices (SCD), Quantum’s parent company.

Regarding the win, Mark Fydenkevez, President and CEO of SCD USA, and Quantum Imaging, Inc., remarked, “We are very proud to have been awarded this important program with Raytheon. Quantum Imaging SWIR cameras will be applied by Raytheon to further enhance a family of products that provides detailed intelligence data from the visual and infrared spectrum, supporting U.S. military, civilian and allied missions around the world.
