Seafuture 2025

Moved to late September rather than early June, the 2025 edition of Seafuture, which first edition dates back to 2009, benefitted from a much calmer period in the La Spezia area, the previous date colliding with a tourist-intense period. That said, the huge increase in the number of exhibitors, over 370 from Italy and foreign countries, with an over 45% increase compared to the 2023 edition, generated some organisational issues.

The four-day event took place as usual at the La Spezia Naval Base, on a 1,671 m2 covered surface, while numerous Italian Navy ships as well as industry vessels were moored alongside the exhibition area. According to data provided by organisers, over 140 foreign delegations visited Seafuture, while industry profited of the B2B opportunity as 233 meetings took place during the event. A Startup area hosted newly formed small enterprises, most of them showcasing innovative solutions. The Seafuture Awards competition issued prizes to students who presented experimental theses on the most innovative maritime technologies and research themes.

An intense cycle of conferences and live demonstrations completed the offer.
