Smart Shooter expands U.S. Defense activity with first JIATF-401 order for SMASH 2000LE systems

[March 25, 2026] – Smart Shooter, a designer, developer, and manufacturer of innovative fire control systems, announced that it has received its first order from the U.S. Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF-401) for its SMASH 2000LE fire control systems.

The base contract, valued at approximately $2.4 million, includes the supply of SMASH 2000LE fire control systems, along with associated spare parts and training. The contract also includes options for additional systems, spare parts, and training valued at approximately $2.3 million.

This order marks Smart Shooter’s first contract with JIATF-401, further expanding the company’s activity with the U.S. Department of War and enabling U.S. military services to acquire SMASH fire control systems, including SMASH 2000LE, SMASH X4, and SMASH Hopper 5000, through the task force’s Market-Place acquisition channel.
The systems are intended to support operational counter-small unmanned aerial system requirements.

The U.S. Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF-401) is a multi-agency task force established by the U.S. Department of War to coordinate the development, integration, and fielding of counter-small unmanned aerial system (C-sUAS) capabilities across the U.S. military and federal agencies. The task force oversees operational requirements, testing, training, and procurement of counter-drone solutions, working with the armed forces, government organizations, and industry partners to build layered defense capabilities against evolving aerial threats.

SMASH 2000LE (also known as SMASH 3000SA) is an enhanced configuration of Smart Shooter’s lightweight, handheld-operated fire control system, adding connectivity capabilities that enable integration with external sensors and battle management systems. Incorporating advanced computer vision, artificial intelligence, and target tracking algorithms, SMASH enables operators to detect, track, and precisely engage aerial and ground targets, including small unmanned aerial systems. The system provides a reliable, combat-proven hard-kill capability against evolving drone threats.

Michal Mor, CEO of Smart Shooter, said: “We are proud to receive our first order from JIATF-401, marking an important step in expanding the availability of SMASH fire control systems across U.S. forces. The selection reflects the growing operational demand for effective, soldier-level counter-drone capabilities, and we remain committed to supporting U.S. military requirements with proven, field-ready solutions.”

Smart Shooter’s SMASH family of fire control systems is deployed by defense and security forces in the United States, Israel, the UK, Germany, NATO member countries, and additional allied nations, providing enhanced precision, situational awareness, and effective engagement against evolving battlefield threats.
