Dubai Airshow 2021

The 2021 edition of the Dubai Airshow, which takes places every two years at Al Maktoum International Airport-DWC-Dubai, was inaugurated on November 14 and will last until November 18. It is the first major international civil and military airshow after two years of Covid pandemic which led to cancel all aviation exhibitions in the world.

The Dubai Airshow 2021 was inaugurated by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the ceremony being attended as well by top local and foreign personalities.

According to the organizers 1200 exhibitors are taking part in the show, including 371 new exhibitors, 80 startups, the exhibition area hosting 20 national pavilions while 160 aircraft line up on the apron. The 2021 edition of the Dubai event also marks the presence of Israel for the first time, most major companies such as Elbit, IAI and Raphael exhibiting their products at the show.

Dubai Airshow does not mean only exhibition and flying display, a series of conferences being also organised during the show. Aerospace 2025 takes lace in the first three days, each day being dedicated to a specific topic, Aviation Sustainability, Space and Advanced Aerial Mobility. At the same time TechXploreThis year gathers tech leaders, innovators and thought leaders to discuss the tech-empowered future of the aviation industry focusing on 4 technology trends, 5G, AI, Cyber Security & Automation.

Three more conferences are taking place. The International Aviation Womens Association (IAWA) discussions will highlight the key achievements of women in aviation in 2021; Future of Travel will demonstrate what innovations you will see coming to play over the next five years; finally NextGen Leaders is a dedicated program to shape the next generation. aerospace and defence.
