Dubai Airshow 2025 –E-System Solutions presents FPV drones based on combat experience in Ukraine
The Emirati-Belarusian company E-System Solutions presented its first family of small combat FPV drones. As explained to EDR On-Line at the company’s booth, the drones were developed based on their combat experience in Ukraine
Since fiber-optic-controlled drones, which cannot be suppressed by electronic warfare (EW) systems, have recently become particularly important in the Russian-Ukrainian theater of operations, a kamikaze FPV quadcopter drone with a fiber-optic control line was developed. The drone can carry a warhead with a mass between 1.5 kg and 5 kg. This drone is effective against light armored vehicles (LAVs) and ground-based aircraft, with a kill radius of 3 meters, and against personnel within 7 meters. Its high-explosive fragmentation warhead creates a cylindrical and axial fragmentation field upon detonation. The drone’s range is determined by the length of the fiber optic cable used and is 25 km.
The company’s booth also featured a kamikaze/bomber FPV quadrocopter drone with a radio channel. It uses a high-explosive fragmentation or shaped-charge warhead. Its penetration of rolled homogeneous armor (RHA) is 200 mm.
According to the developers, FPV drones of this type can be deployed in swarms. The warhead detonates upon impact with the target or is initiated by a command in the air.
E-System Solution explained that the drones’ development has been completed, and combat testing is planned for the near future.
