G3 Systems delivers first WTB flatrack to the Netherlands MOD for State Verification Testing.
G3 Systems Limited, a British company with 25 years of operationally proven expertise in the design and production of deployable infrastructure solutions, has delivered the first flatrack for the ‘Wissellaadsystemen, Trekker-opleggercombinaties and WielBergingsvoertuigen’ (WTB) programme to The Netherlands Ministry of Defence (NL MOD) for State Verification Testing (SVT). This is a key milestone for the project before moving into full production of 418 flatracks.
The WTB contract with G3 Systems, announced in May 2025, consists of an upcoming delivery phase followed by a 15-year support phase. This significant overseas contract has adopted an EU-partnered manufacturing approach with G3 Systems as the UK-based prime contractor, systems engineer and design authority. Recently G3 delivered the first WTB flatrack to NL MOD. The delivery of the first testing-ready flatrack demonstrates the efficiency and quality of the work G3 Systems and their partners have completed thus far.
The G3 Systems flatrack solution is designed to ensure maximum flexibility of use by NL MOD with its existing fleet. Like the UK MOD ‘Enhanced Pallet Loading System’ (EPLS), this combination delivers a material-handling capability that allows a single military truck operator to load, transport, and drop off standardised 15-tonne flatracks or 20ft ISO shipping containers without external support. The G3 Systems’ design solution increases the flatrack’s utility by being ISO container compatible, having folding and removable side boards, flexible tie-down locations and a canopy option for additional weather protection.
SVT will give the NL military users an opportunity to put the flatrack through some rigorous testing and assess the operational performance of G3 Systems’ product. Successful completion of SVT will enable achievement of Final Design Review (FDR) sign-off and allow the programme to quickly move to the full production phase.
Nick Rose, Managing Director of G3 Systems said, “I have been extremely pleased with how the G3 Systems team has worked tirelessly to quickly and efficiently establish the essential foundations to successfully deliver this large and complex project. State Verification Testing is a key part of the test and verification stage and is clearly not only fundamental for this project, but it also demonstrates the quality and reliability of G3 Systems engineering for other similar projects on the horizon.”
