Kalashnikov Develops Russia’s First Tactical Guided Munition with 100+ km Range, Based on SMO Experience
25 February 2026 – Presenting the KUB-10ME, Kalashnikov Concern pioneered the development of tactical-class guided munition (GM) systems with a 100+ km range in Russia. The system was developed in record time, drawing upon the experience in using GMs amassed in the SMO zone.
The new system boasts an optronic guidance system that can track and engage moving targets. It also offers superior protection against jamming and air defense measures. Furthermore, it features an aerial photography and video system with data recording.
The new guided munition by Kalashnikov is intended for dealing precise strikes against a range of targets. It can engage unarmored and lightly armored vehicles, armored personnel carriers, division/battalion-level command posts, AA missile systems with jamming vehicles, personnel in body armor, air and missile defense installations, electronic intelligence and jamming assets, logistics facilities, UAV launch positions, and unsheltered aircraft/helicopters at airfields.
The KUB-10ME is capable of flying at altitudes ranging from 80 meters to 1,800 meters. It cruises at up to 120 km/h, by day or night, in any weather conditions, including wind gusts up to 10 m/sec, performing reliably in temperatures from –30°C to +40°C.
