OCCAR: first MAST-F (AKERON LP) Missile Firing from Tiger Test Bed Helicopter Successfully Conducted

Cazaux/France, 19 March 2025 – The first MAST-F (AKERON LP) boosted missile firing from a Tiger Test Bed Helicopter has been successfully performed at the French DGA Trial Centre at Cazaux (DGA/Essais en Vol). 

This prototype missile was equipped with a booster and a telemetry system to collect a large amount of data. This trial was carried out especially in order to assess the behaviour of the missile and to confirm the safe missile separation phase in presence of helicopter perturbations.

Few weeks after the first long range firing, this new successful firing is a great achievement for the MAST-F Programme managed by OCCAR for our Member State France.

Thanks to the great cooperation and close involvement of all key stakeholders (MBDA and its subcontractors, DGA test centres and OCCAR), this success is a significant step forward for the development of this new battlefield system.
