RUAG’s Dornier 228 twin turboprop is the platform of choice for special mission operations taking place between low level and 10,000 ft. Military and government law enforcement organisations operate the Dornier 228 worldwide for maritime patrol, research flights, surveillance and reconnaissance, and light transport operations.  The Dornier 228NG was on static display and took part in the flying demonstration at ILA 2018.

The Dornier 228 success is proven by over four million hours flown to date and based on continuous improvements and innovations it offers a high level of safety and is one of the most reliable aircraft in the world with a mix of a mature design and innovative technologies. Due to its advanced aerodynamics, the Dornier 228 is able to match or exceed the STOL performance of competitors on the same payload, while cruising up to 50 kts faster.

Military operations or emergency situations require immediate coordination between organisations and units and the rapid integration of various communication applications is critical to success. Radio telephony continues to be the primary control resource that is used in the field of tactical communication. RUAG ARANEA is a tactical communications platform that can be rapidly deployed in mission-critical situations. It guarantees maximum interoperability with legacy equipment, securely linking a wide range of organisations, systems, and devices in the land, sea or air domains. The ARANEA Radio Bridge offers seamless integration of radio telephony solutions into a tactical network. The solution is easy to operate and to adapt to quickly changing requirements.

ARANEA TVS are tactical communications switches that simultaneously cover a number of functions in practical military communications scenarios. They allow reliable voice and data communications between strategic, public, and legacy networks. Interoperability and non-hierarchical networking ensure effective communication at all levels.

RUAG TAN S is a semi-ruggedized, integrated voice and data router that enables interoperable connectivity between core networks and headquarters, detached ad hoc C2 facilities, and tactical mobile networks. It can connect NATO analogue and digital networks for armed forces and first responders. The TAN T is an integrated voice and data router that enables interoperable connectivity between core networks and headquarters, detached ad hoc C2 facilities, and tactical mobile networks. RUAG ARANEA Rapid is a compact and hardened solution that enables communication in areas with no or limited communication infrastructure and limited network availability.
