With over 300 exhibitors, mostly national but with a consistent international participation, FEINDEF, the defence exhibition organised in Madrid and taking place at the IFEMA exhibition area, opened its doors on November 3rd to delegations and visitors.
At the second edition, the Madrid three-day event doubled the number of participants, and although the Spanish undersecretary for Defence Esperanza Casteleiro declared just before the exhibition that in the next few years budgets will not allow launching major programmes industry was there, proposing its products to the Spanish Armed Forces and to delegations, mostly coming from Spanish-speaking countries but not only.
FEINDEF marked also the public debut of the future Spanish 8×8 infantry fighting vehicle, the Dragon, while numerous other systems were unveiled in the halls n. 8 and 10 at IFEMA.
