Dubai Airshow 2025

Inaugurated on Monday, November 17th, at the presence of President Sheikh Mohamed and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, the 2025 edition of the Dubai Airshow was marked by the presence of over 1,500 exhibitors including 440 first-time participants and gathered at the Al Maktoum airport for the week-long event. Overall, 21 country pavilions hosted the companies from the main nations, while 98 chalets alongside the runway provided hospitality for VIPs and investors. While most exhibitors were showcasing state-of-the-art technologies, this was even more trued for the 120 start-ups present at the airshow. Around 150,000 visitors crossed the entrance of the venue, among them 490 military and civil delegations from 115 countries.

While commercial aviation was definitely the main focus, with several lucrative contracts announced, the defence side of the exhibition was pretty active, with most western companies showcasing their products, emerging countries also exhibiting their best products, together with a massive Chinese and Russian presence.

The flight programme saw for the first time the UAE military aerobatic team performed for the first time with its new Hongdu L-15 aircraft of Chinese origin. The Dubai sky also saw flying military aircraft such as the Rafale, the F-35, the F-16, both in UAE and US colours, the Mirage 2000-9, the Sukhoi 57, the P8 Poseidon and the B-52 Stratofortress, As well as the Indian Tejas, which unfortunate accident occurred on Friday 21st marked with a sad ending this year edition of the Dubai Airshow.
