Expodefensa 2021

For the seventh time since 2009 Latin America and world defence industries gather in Bogotá, the Colombian capital, for Expodefensa, for what has become the main hub for defence and security in Latin America and the Caribbean. Since 2015 the Colombian Ministry of Defence, Codaltec and Corferias linked up with Coges, the French organisation that organises the world benchmark land defence exhibition, Eurosatory, further reinforcing the international taste of the Colombian event.

According to numbers provided by the organisers, the 2021 edition will see over 200 exhibitors from 25 countries showing their products and technologies in the Corferias venues; among those the main Colombian state defence companies part of Codaltec, which through their international links and the close relation with the national defence customers and academia are increasing their knowledge, increasing the country technological base and the independence in terms of military hardware development. Beside the numerous visitors expected, the organisers mentioned that over 100 official delegations from more than 20 countries will visit Expodefensa from November 29th to December 2nd, in the full respect of COVID-19 related cautionary measures.

The coming articles will give our readers a flavour of what could be seen at the Bogotá exhibition.
