A Command and Control (C2) software, developed completely in Qatar by Rheinmetall Barzan Advanced Technologies is being made available to security and defence customers within the nation. Rheinmetall Barzan Advanced Technologies QSTP-LLC (RBAT) is a joint venture between Barzan Holdings QSTP-LLC and the German technology company Rheinmetall, established and operating in Qatar to provide technologies focused solutions to domestic and foreign Security and Defense customers.
Displayed during the DIMDEX 2022 show through the different unmanned and weapon systems which the C2 software can manage provided by RBAT, the national command and control provides an overall situation awareness to the operators, offering customizable 2D and 3D common operation picture displays. The locally-developed C2 can be applied to multiple operational needs with the same functionality, being capable to be exploited in various user cases, including but not limited to unmanned ground vehicles, unmanned surface vehicles, unmanned air vehicles, loitering munitions, CBRNE needs, persistent surveillance, anti-drone solutions and camp protection.
The open architecture of the software as well as the agnostic approach of the development ensure that the Qatar security and defence customers can select among a wide variety in terms of sensors and effectors. The Artificial Intelligence algorithms embedded in the software allow for mission accuracy improvement and support advanced operational functions compliant to ISTAR practices and military tactical planning capabilities in line with NATO standards.
