Expodefensa 2025
ExpoDefensa opened its doors in Bogotá on 1 December 2025, launching three days devoted entirely to innovation in the defence and security domains in Latin America. Hosted at the Corferias convention centre, the exhibition is reaffirming its role as the essential regional meeting place for armed forces, security services and defence industry players.
This year’s edition brought together more than 246 companies from a wide range of countries, spread across eight national pavilions, and welcomed around 70 official delegations from 30 nations, as well as over 12,700 professional visitors specialising in the defence sector. During the opening ceremony, the Colombian Minister of Defence underlined the central role of the national industrial and technological base, stressing that every solution on display is designed to strengthen the work of military and police personnel in protecting the population.
On the exhibition floor, visitors could discover technologies covering the land, air, naval and cyber domains, from uncrewed systems to cyber security solutions, along with sensors, vehicles and command-and-control platforms. In the background, this year’s edition took place against a backdrop of accelerated modernisation of Latin American capabilities, as armed forces seek greater strategic autonomy in the face of hybrid and transnational threats.
By bringing together decision-makers, industry representatives and experts, Expodefensa is consolidating its position as a key hub for shaping cooperation, acquisition programmes and the regional security vision for the years ahead.
