NYCO Greases Performance

David Oliver

NYCO is a privately-owned French company involved in the development and manufacture of high-performance lubricants and synthetic ester bases for aerospace, defence, industry and the automotive sectors.

Its Nycolube 127 CLP is a highly penetrating fluid specifically designed to clean, lubricate and protect firearms and weapons systems. Based on a high quality synthetic oil and containing anti-corrosion and anti-wear additives, it is formulated to keep small and large calibre weapons combat-ready in the harshest environments.  Nycolube 127 CLP is qualified by the US Department of Defense and is registered on the Qualified Product Listing under MIL-PRF-63460 after successfully passing all firing tests in hot and cold temperatures, sand and salt water immersion.

Research is also at the heart of Nyco’s activities in order to develop tailor-made solutions for customers and to meet the most demanding specifications. In partnership with the University of Cergy-Pontoise in Neuville-sur-Oise, Nyco’s laboratory for aerospace lubricants is working on the formulas and solutions of tomorrow.

Its Turboycoil 600 synthetic turbine oil is also used on the engines of the Dassault Rafale fighter and whose technological evolution, the Turbonycoil 635 has been selected for the Lockheed Martin F-35. It is also the Neuville-sur-Oise teams which have developed the Nyco Grease GN3058, to extend the service life of aircraft wheel bearings against increasingly resistant tires.
